Integrated Management Systems
Organizations, like any other being, have several systems within them performing different functions to ensure they thrive. There are certain elements that are common to all management systems regardless of the subject of its application.
Most likely, while establishing a complete managing system you have already, unintentionally, addressed other relevant subjects in the process
The following common elements allow several standardized management systems to be integrated into one, making them easier to operate and improve:

-
Understanding your organization and its context
-
Risk management
-
Defining objectives and plans to achieve them
-
Internal and external communication
-
Control of documented information
-
Monitoring measurement, analysis and performance evaluation
-
Internal audit
-
Corrective action
-
Management review
-
Continual improvement
Empower your teams by
joining your efforts and iniciatives
Furthermore, thanks to the new high-level structure (HLS) of the ISO International Standards, established in the Annex SL, all ISO standards since the year 2015 share the same internal structure in its contents. This makes it easier to integrate the common elements of several standards into an integrated management system.
Different integrated management systems might be considered in different certification schemes. For example, for a company to obtain the FSSC 22000-Q Certificate, it must meet the requirements stablished by ISO 22000, ISO 9001 and its specific requirements applicable to its industry in terms of food safety.
At INSI, we can help your organization integrate your current and future management systems to improve their overall performance. Furthermore, we specialize in integrating additional standards to those on which you are currently basing your management system.
